Sometimes lacking the building technology background and experience to create new BIPV systems for their solar products, many solar module manufacturers rely on the building product industry and others, to develop the downstream processes and application solutions needed to combine their photovoltaics with conventional building products for solar-to-building BIPV systems, creating new solar markets.
Only with the recent public interest and the growing demand for green building technologies has the building product industry begun thinking about creating new renewable energy products. Industry response has been slow due to their limited internal solar experience and knowledge needed to create these new BIPV products with their existing construction products and materials
Sensing this critical link in the solar value chain, SolarPower Restoration Systems identified, developed and patented the new solar application and attachment solutions needed to create new BIPV products. Bridging across the solar and building product industries, SolarSeal Technologies™ accelerates the introduction and deployment of BIPV solutions using elastomeric coatings, adhesives, magnetic membranes, fasteners and other proprietary attachment methods with conventional roofing and building materials using thin film photovoltaics (PV) and our SolarSeal Fan-Fold PV module array system.
The SolarSeal Fan-Fold System™ combines non-glass metal-polymer-metal composite panels with crystalline silicon cells or thin film PV and a solar transparent polymer top surface. We eliminate the need for flexible thin film photovoltaics on many BIPV applications, making all heavy glass-on-glass type PV modules with conventional rack mounting systems obsolete by replacing PV module glass construction with out-of-the-box, self-contained, self-mounting solar module configurations that combine and attach to all building surfaces and roof systems.
SolarPower Restoration System's innovative (patent pending) family of advanced SolarSeal Technologies™ solar-to-building surface application solutions combines the latest photovoltaic systems forming seamless, weatherproof and waterproof surfaces while producing renewable energy from the sun.
SolarSeal Technologies™ photovoltaic systems can be applied over a wide range of building and construction surfaces that could not be solar powered before. SolarSeal Technologies™ installs over conventional surfaces more cost effectively and faster then other older photovoltaic application systems and methods.
