Until the development of SolarSeal Technologies™, PV module attachment to BIPV building surfaces was limited to a few methods, including pressure sensitive peel-&-stick adhesive, hook-&-latch and thermal bonding.

Self-adhesives do not work with all building product surfaces, hook-&-latch has limited surfaces to bond too and thermal bonding works with a limited number of membrane polymers.

SolarSeal Technologies™ expanded PV module attachment options with elastomeric coatings, adhesive tapes, adhesive systems and magnetic membrane systems. Still new attachment methods for bonding flexible thin film and composite paneled crystalline silicon PV modules to a wider range of roofing and building products were needed.

SolarSeal Quick-Strip Systems™ (patents pending) is the result of developing the SolarSeal Technology systems over the past fives years and has created hundreds of new solar-to-building attachment options for the solar and building product industries.

SolarSeal Quick-Strip Systems™ expands attachment options for integrating flexible thin film and composite panel based crystalline silicon photovoltaics to all roofing membranes and most building surfaces. Roofing manufacturers can fully integrate and bond photovoltaics to their membrane systems, using their native flashing materials to create fully integrated solar building systems that weatherproof the building and generate renewable energy from the sun.

The SolarSeal Quick-Strip Systems™ by creating an insulated or airflow space between the solar module and building surface, solves the problem of flexible photovoltaics modules applied directly to a roof or a building surface generating excessive heat that can prematurely age roofing materials and increasing a building cooling cost.

Another benefit of the SolarSeal Quick-Strip Systems™, PV modules can be easily removed and relocated to a new host site or replaced if they become defective or new lower cost solar products become available.
